About The Position

Candidates who have previously worked for Tyson Foods will have a minimum rehire waiting period of 180 days and are limited to 3 times of employment. Pay for this position is $18.45 an hour. Hours are from 6:30 AM - 4:30 PM The Machine Attendant is responsible for setting up and tearing down all equipment required to run a given product. Physical Requirements: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation Tasks: Must understand and be able to be trained on all safety related responsibilities including proper use of lockout/tagout program, pinch points, proper ergonomics, etc. Must be able to read product specification sheets to ensure proper packaging usage, label formatting, etc. Communicate daily issues and needs with management, maintenance, packaging leads, warehouse and label maker required. Must maintain proper operating speeds. Responsible for troubleshooting minor equipment problems. If assistance is needed with troubleshooting minor equipment problems or more complex problems, maintenance and supervision must be notified. Must perform all product packaging duties. This position will perform repetitive motion on a consistent and steady basis. Must be willing to perform the duties of the job. The Team member must be willing and able to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. Must be willing and able to lift up to 50 lbs. when required. Must be willing work in extreme temperatures ranging from 39F to 90F for up to 8-10 hours a day. Cleans area routinely before leaving for breaks. Team member has an individual responsibility to report all possible deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety. Requirements: Must have 6 months of work history with the same employer for the past 24 months. Must have basic computer skills to load label formats.
