About The Position

RESPONSIBILITIES - WITH OUR CONSUMER AT THE HEART YOUR KEY FOCUS WILL BE ·Bottling Line Operations: Operate bottling line equipment, including depalletizing, filling, rinsing, capping, labeling, case packing, case labeling, palletization and packaging machinery safely, correctly, and efficiently to meet production goals. ·Material Handling: Load and replenish materials such as bottles, labels, caps, and packaging supplies as needed. ·Equipment Monitoring: Continuously monitor equipment performance, conduct routine maintenance to identify and troubleshoot minor issues, including performing changeovers and autonomous maintenance on equipment, to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. ·Quality Control: Regularly perform and document product quality inspections in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with company standards. ·Safety Compliance: Prioritize and ensure all safety protocols and SOPs are accurately followed and documented, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for yourself and others. Perform required housekeeping activities to maintain cleanliness and organization on the production floor. ·Changeover Optimization: Engage in SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) activities to streamline changeover processes and improve line performance. ·Record Keeping: Accurately document production data, downtime, and other key performance metrics. ·Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support: Work closely with supervisors and teammates to support smooth production flow and perform other duties as assigned to contribute to team success. ·Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in safety initiatives, Lean Manufacturing practices, problem-solving sessions, and Self-Directed Teams to enhance line efficiencies, quality and overall performance on the bottling line.

Requirements

  • Must possess strong mathematical, reading and comprehension skills.
  • Exhibit good communication, documentation and organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
  • Familiarity with quality and safety standards in a production setting..
  • Basic mechanical skills and the ability to operate production machinery.
  • Must be self-motivated and proactive.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills and work well in a team environment.
  • Must possess strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work on first or second shift as needed.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and address issues in the production process to ensure quality and accuracy.
  • Time Management: Manage tasks efficiently to meet production deadlines.
  • Adaptability: Respond to changes in production schedules or unexpected equipment issues with a calm and resourceful approach.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or bottling environment preferred, particularly in the wine and spirits or food and beverage industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working on automated bottling or packaging lines.
  • Knowledge of wine and spirits production processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement practices.
