About The Position

The Endobariatric Awareness Representative (EBAR) is responsible for providing operational and educational resources to an assigned territory/geography. The EBAR will engage with targeted Endobariatric physicians and referring physicians as well as other clinicians and office personnel to promote awareness of Endobariatric therapy, indications for use and patient identification/patient screening best practices. The EBAR will work closely with our Regional Endobariatric Manager, and marketing team in assigned endobariatric accounts focusing on three (3) key areas: procedure education, resource education, and referring physician outreach. This position is educating physicians and practices on EB therapies to manage obese patients. These procedures are non-invasive, organ sparing, same day procedures with no incision. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of successful sales or 6+ years of clinical experience working in relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Results-oriented team player.
  • Excels in fast-paced, competitive environment.
  • Must be able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Nice To Haves

  • Program development and/or market development experience preferred.
  • Experience working in bariatrics.
  • Pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Obesity therapeutics experience.
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and partner with REM in growing Boston Scientific's Endobariatric business in targeted centers to ensure Boston Scientific's sales targets are achieved.
  • Assist physicians and office staff with patient identification, patient screening, and patient education resources.
  • Work to enroll practices, physicians, and patients in the Boston Scientific Patient Access Support Program.
  • Serve as the primary Boston Scientific field coordinator of Direct to Patient Programs that are administered in the assigned geography.
  • Educate on Endobariatric therapies to medical practice personnel that manage obese patients (weight management clinics, cardiology, internal medicine, fertility, OB-GYN, orthopedics, and general & family practice) with the goal of increasing therapy awareness and patient referrals for Endobariatrics.
  • Connect physicians and practices who refer obese patients with Endobariatric Programs by coordinating peer-to-peer events.
  • Develop physician and office champions for patient referrals.
  • Meet with hospital marketing department, media relations and/or physician liaisons of each targeted hospital facility to educate on Endobariatric service line.

Benefits

  • The anticipated annualized base amount or range for this full time position will be $105,000, plus variable compensation governed by the Sales Incentive Compensation Plan.
