About The Position

Welcome to Alkali Scientific! ASI is a leading national supplier and distributor of Health Science research products. The company specializes in consumable laboratory supplies and offers a wide range of laboratory equipment and products. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will work closely with customers in various medical research laboratories, hospitals, and universities. This is an entry-level position, and product training will be provided to ensure you are well-equipped to succeed in your role. The primary responsibility of the Outside Sales Representative is to maximize and grow revenue and profits within your assigned geography by selling directly to end-users in the research laboratory space. This includes acquiring new business and maintaining relationships with current customers. ASI territories are fully protected, meaning there is only one representative per geographical region, allowing you to focus on building your customer base without competition from other sales reps. In this role, you will meet regularly with customers to understand their evolving research product needs, educate them on ASI's offerings and purchase options, and identify and pursue new customers in your territory. You will conduct cold calls to acquire new customers and build long-term, productive relationships with them. Being responsive to customers' real-time needs is crucial for success in this position. Compensation for first-year sales reps typically ranges from $85,000 to $125,000, based on ASI's generous salary plus commission plan, with the potential for much higher earnings in subsequent years based on performance.
