This is an open posting for Environmental Science students interested in a summer internship at our Borger, TX Nitrogen facility. This is a temporary, full-time, hourly paid position open to current students who will be returning to their studies once this work term is complete. Work will be both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Outside the office, standard work wear will consist of hard hats, safety boots, safety glasses and ear plugs, with other items as needed; these items will be provided.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelors’ degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent related program with a graduation date of August 2026 or later.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to work at heights, outdoors, and around potentially hazardous chemicals.
  • Must be able to hear and understand audible alarms, changes in noise levels of rotating equipment and portable radio communications.
  • Must be familiar with Microsoft’s Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Support air, water, and waste compliance processes including inspections and identification of environmental hazards.
  • Record keeping and filing organization to support compliance documentation in alignment with internal policies.
  • Contribute to data collection, analysis, and validation for internal and external reporting processes.
  • Assist in development of standard operating procedures to support the plant environmental management processes.
  • Coordinate an effort to automate environmental field data collection.
