About The Position
The Class A Boom Truck Driver is a key position at Jensen Precast. Every day you’re out in the field, safely delivering precast products. Reporting to dispatch, you’ll primarily work with customers, delivery drivers and the sales team. Much like you, our founder, Don Jensen was looking for a way to support his family, so he started his Company in 1968. Since founded, we’ve been supporting communities across Nevada, California, Arizona, Washington, and Hawaii. Jensen Precast likely has an impact on your daily life. We build culverts to take water away from your neighborhoods, underground utility boxes to hold cables, and manholes to allow workers access to the sewers deep below the roads we drive on. Requirements
- You’re a licensed Class A CDL driver with an NCCCO certification.
- Placing large/awkward/heavy products in place at jobsites doesn’t scare you.
- You don’t take shortcuts. You’re safety conscious not just for yourself, but for your team.
Nice To Haves
- Between 2 and 5 years
- 3 years of related experience, preferably in the construction industry
- Ability to communicate with customers
- Ability to minimize down time between deliveries
- Familiarity with DOT requirements
- Self-motivated and able to perform role with minimal direction
Responsibilities
- Transport precast materials, secure loads and ensure that your truck does not exceed the maximum weight limits for transport.
- Understand and are fully aware of all DOT guidelines and adhere to such regulations; maintain logs of working hours, of vehicle service and repair status following applicable state and federal regulations; check all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate.
- Ensure proper customer service by reviewing and comparing invoice to what product is loaded; collect delivery instructions from appropriate sources, verify instructions, and requested routes/drop off location; read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes; drive truck to weigh stations before and after loading and along routes.
