About The Position

The Bookstore Lead is a part-time position responsible for managing bookstore volunteers with the intention of creating a safe and inviting environment for attendees to deepen their relationship with Jesus. This position will also work alongside Chesterfield campus staff and the pastoral team to facilitate and shepherd the spiritual growth of the church community through resources available in the bookstore. The church is a non-denominational multi-site church with four St. Louis-area campuses where they gather each weekend to study Scripture.

Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and welcoming environment for all guests in the bookstore by having volunteer team that are hospitable, familiar and knowledgeable about bookstore resources
  • Recruiting, training, leading and shepherding volunteers, including scheduling, cultivating a volunteer environment where volunteers feel equipped, empowered, connected and celebrated
  • Coordinate with campus staff and inventory specialist when a pop-up bookstore is necessary for Explorations
  • Coordinate with Spiritual Oversight Team if additional resources are requested by pastoral team, teachers or ministries at The Crossing
  • Attend monthly Staff meetings/chapels at the Chesterfield Campus
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
