About the position

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a contract-to-permanent position in Greenville, South Carolina. The Bookkeeper will be responsible for entering financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and transparency, and assisting the accounting department in its operations.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and efficient processing of financial transactions into our internal systems
  • Identification and correction of discrepancies in ledgers and accounts
  • Coding of transactions properly for tracking and analysis
  • Generation of financial documents such as invoices and client refunds
  • Entry of credit card expenses, ensuring they match up to monthly statements
  • Verification of spreadsheet accuracy for financial records
  • Maintenance of both digital and physical financial records
  • Assistance in resolving discrepancies for accurate entries
  • Utilization of Microsoft Excel and accounting software for bookkeeping tasks
  • Support in processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring smooth financial operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role
  • Proven expertise in Account Reconciliation
  • Previous experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Proficiency in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Demonstrated skills in Bank Reconciliations
  • Extensive knowledge in Bookkeeping practices
  • Ability to perform Data Entry tasks efficiently
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience in Month End Close procedures
  • Ability to execute Check Runs effectively
  • Familiarity with ProLaw software
