We are seeking a full-time Bookkeeper to support our Controller. This role will provide accounts payable services, financial reporting, and bi-weekly payroll processing for all employees. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who likes to get things done. You work well independently but can also take directions. You have excellent customer service skills and a helpful, positive demeanor. You are accurate, pay attention to the details, but can also see how your work fits into the bigger picture. Ideally, the successful candidate will have at least two years of accounting and payroll experience, experience with QuickBooks and various reporting tools, and experience using Power BI, that would be a huge plus!

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), associate's degree preferred
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Accounting or bookkeeping experience related to a computerized accounting system, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reports
  • Ability to learn new processes and software, an aptitude for numbers and analysis
  • Advanced computer skills in all Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Maintain a high level of customer service
  • Client and employee confidentiality a must
  • Ability to work and communicate well with all levels of internal management and staff
  • Experience with QuickBooks
  • Experience in payroll software
  • Experience with reporting tools, Power BI a plus

Responsibilities

  • Bi-Weekly Payroll processing
  • Period end close
  • Perform payroll/benefit related reconciliations
  • Process accounts payable invoices, check requests, credit card payments
  • Daily bank deposits
  • Maintain W-9s
  • Preparation of 1099-Misc.
  • Perform firm credit card reconciliation and obtain supporting documents as needed
  • Review weekly expense reports for proper documentation and compliance with policies
  • Reporting and budget updates
  • Other duties as assigned
