About the position

We are seeking a Bookkeeper based in Seattle, Washington, responsible for a variety of financial duties including managing accounts payable and receivable, handling payroll, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing financial statements. The role also involves reporting duties such as quarterly reporting, payroll reporting, and estate reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure accurate accounting records
  • Process payroll using ADP to guarantee timely and accurate payment to employees
  • Oversee the general ledger and financial statements, ensuring they are up to date and accurate
  • Execute quarterly reporting to provide timely updates on financial status
  • Prepare payroll reporting to comply with relevant regulations
  • Handle estate reporting to ensure all financial obligations are met
  • Maintain a student information database, despite its complexity
  • Oversee multi-ledger for GL and AP, AR
  • Utilize software programs such as Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks for efficient and accurate data entry
  • Perform month-end close activities and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
  • Assist with billing duties, handling a large volume of transactions annually
  • Ensure all financial statements, account reconciliations, and reports are prepared for review.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Ability to conduct Bank Reconciliations
  • Demonstrated skill in Bookkeeping
  • Proficient in Data Entry tasks
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Month End Close procedures
  • Familiarity with Payroll processes
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of General Ledger management
  • Ability to generate Financial Statements
  • Experience with Financial Reporting
  • Proficiency in Billing procedures
