About The Position

AmeriGuard Security of California is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage comprehensive accounting functions. This pivotal role involves ensuring accuracy in financial records and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting, payroll preparation, and proficiency with various accounting software. Duties Work closely with and under the direction of the CFO. Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping activities, including bank reconciliations and journal entries. Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Able to use online accounting software similar to QuickBooks Online, and Microsoft financial tools to streamline processes. Complete Payroll twice a month utilizing ADP. Perform monthly general ledger and bank reconciliations and account analysis to verify accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly. Prepare financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets in both cash and accrual basis accounting. Oversee payroll report preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements. Assist with year-end closing procedures and tax filings as needed. Maintain both physical and electronic filing systems, ensuring documents are organized and easily accessible Coordinate and maintain Systems technicians' daily schedule. Reschedule or cancel jobs in a timely manner as needed Manage and confirm bookings the day prior Keep Managers and Technicians informed of project timelines and associated deadlines

Requirements

  • Experience with online accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, and other financial management tools.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong understanding of GAAP standards and accounting practices.
  • Proficiency in double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger management.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation accurately.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing, tax experience, accounts payable/receivable management, and bank reconciliation procedures.
  • Ability to handle high-volume data entry (10 key typing skills) efficiently while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously under tight deadlines.
