About The Position

PAI is one of the Twin Cities' premier providers of day, in home and employment-related services for individuals with developmental disabilities. We have an incredible opportunity for a talented Bookkeeper in our White Bear Lake headquarters to administer a variety of financial activities. We offer great pay great pay ($24-30 per hour) as well as a hybrid work schedule, a bring your dog to work policy, excellent benefits, and a work environment where everyone is valued and respected. This position requires 32-40 hours per week. However, we will work with you to determine actual hours (full time vs part time) as well as a schedule that will allow you to balance work and personal interests and obligations. Specifically, you will: Track expenses, budget, cash flow, receipts and other financial dealings of company. Process and manage Accounts Payables, ensuring timely and accurate payments. Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. Utilize QuickBooks to maintain financial records and generate reports. Process bi-weekly payroll. Support the annual audit process. Track federal and state grants to ensure compliance. Collaborate with internal teams to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • At least five years of bookkeeping experience
  • In-depth knowledge of accounts payable and general ledger
  • Self-motivation with the ability to manage and flex across projects and priorities
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, project management, and data analysis skills
  • Teamwork orientation
  • High proficiency with QuickBooks and Excel; general proficiency with other Microsoft Office applications
