About The Position

Operations is the cornerstone of our daily performance at Passthrough. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Bookkeeper will ensure financial clarity, boost team productivity, and contribute to financial confidence by maintaining accurate records and insightful reporting across the organization. This role will work cross-functionally with a variety of stakeholders (including external partners, and customers) to optimize, scale, and streamline our finance operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and financial best practices

Nice To Haves

  • A Bachelors in Accounting is a plus but not required
  • Certification in bookkeeping or accounting (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper designation)

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, preparing and filing necessary reports
  • Provide documentation and support for internal and external audits as needed
  • Utilize financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) to streamline bookkeeping processes and generate financial reports
  • Perform account receivable functions, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue tracking
  • Manage data entry and oversee bank reconciliation process
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of company books and records
