About The Position

The Job Cost Accountant (JCA) at Paul Davis is responsible for managing all phases of job costing within RMS and QuickBooks Accounting Software. The JCA will also manage the daily operations of the franchise when the owner is unavailable, maintain all accounting, computer, and financial records in conjunction with a CPA, and communicate effectively with empathy and urgency through modern technology. This position is pivotal to the success of the franchise, emphasizing customer service, dynamic decision-making, and leadership. The JCA will work closely with owners and office staff to ensure accurate job costing and adherence to guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of job costing within RMS and QuickBooks Accounting Software
• Manage the daily operations of the franchise as needed when the owner is not available
• Maintain all accounting, computer and financial records for franchise in conjunction with a CPA
• Establish rapport with insurance carriers, customers, vendors, subcontractors, adjusters, agents and fellow employees
• Provide excellent customer service
• Assist other team members and foster positive working relationships with other departments
• Collect information and monitor various aspects of the business to detect problems
• Request and maintain updated Workplace Safety certificates & insurance coverage for subcontractors
• Enter timesheets and process payroll
