About The Position

The Bookkeeper/HR Assistant at H&H Polishing is responsible for managing bookkeeping tasks, payroll, and HR administration while fostering a positive team environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to maintain relationships with customers and vendors. The position is full-time and based in Charlotte, NC, with a focus on supporting the company's financial and human resource functions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • A positive attitude is a must
  • Background check, drug screen, and physical are required

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a positive, team environment and promote open communication throughout the facility
  • Develop and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships
  • Provide bookkeeping and accounting support, including AR/AP management and reconciliation, and month-end closing
  • Manage payroll processes
  • Administer HR functions and benefits support, including workers' compensation
  • Support employee hiring, onboarding, and file management
  • Provide office support, including answering phones and supporting vendor relationships and company functions
  • Plan and support safety awards and monthly safety meetings
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the manager
