Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit
- ISCD (International Society for Clinical Densitometry) as a Certified Bone Densitometry Technologist (CBDT) or ability to obatain within 1 year
- Complete manufacturer’s applications training on equipment
- 2+ years of experience working with patients in a clinical setting as a medical assistant or radiology assistant
Nice To Haves
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience in a job requiring ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Solid interpersonal, customer service, time management, computer and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Performs bone mineral density exams and documents the interpretation of test results
- Demonstrates competency and works in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Provides excellent customer service and support
- Possesses ability to effectively communicate with patients as well as other members of the health care team
