About The Position

The Bone Densitometry Technician is a Part-Time, Regular position working 9 hours per week, 4.5 hr day shifts at Tri-Cities Imaging Center in Kennewick, WA. Summary: To obtain the safest and highest quality bone densitometry exams under the direct or indirect supervision of a radiologist per established Inland Imaging protocol.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required
  • One year of experience in a medical office setting with medical terminology is required
  • Must maintain current Washington State X-Ray Technician Registration
  • ISCD certification
  • Current CPR/BLS required
  • Must acquire 35 continuing education credits every five years
  • Experience with the following computer applications is highly desired: Outlook; Microsoft Office Suite, Workday; PACS; Medicalis; Internet/Intranet, Webex
  • Must be able to pass a background check required by RCW 43.43.830-840 to work with children under the age of 16, developmentally disabled persons or vulnerable adults
  • In order to comply with provisions set forth in Sections 1128 and 1156 of the Social Security Act, all new employees of Inland Imaging Clinical Associates, LLC will be checked against the LIST OF EXCLUDED INDIVIDUALS provided by the Department of Health & Human Services, Office of the Inspector General (OIG). Employees must not be included on this list.
  • Eligible employees must be able to pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities

  • Performs Bone Densitometry exams and Total Body Composition exams
  • Assists patients as needed to obtain quality exam
  • Prepares exam room
  • Maintains clean and well stocked exam room
  • Performs QA procedures per equipment manufacturer’s specifications
  • Performs database backup per manufacture’s specifications
  • Resolves exam exceptions in PACS
  • Assists scheduling with determining appropriate bone density studies and location for exams
  • Dictates Bone Densitometry findings for review by Radiologist
  • Signs bone densitometry preliminary reports per the established procedure/protocol
  • This position may be required to work in a hospital, urgent care or clinical setting.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality within the Inland Imaging companies and Inland’s customers.

  • Quarterly quality assurance meeting attendance is required for this position.
