Our Credit Trading Desk is the market‑making leader in local onshore bonds and the structured credit business (COEs). As we expand our international presence, we are seeking a skilled Bond Trader to help grow our offshore credit trading capabilities. Role Overview The Bond Trader will play a key role in expanding XP’s footprint in offshore credit markets. This position involves managing risk for the Offshore Credit Book, acting as a market maker for Brazilian corporate and sovereign bonds, and contributing to the development of trading infrastructure and client relationships.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of trading experience in Credit Markets or related areas.
- Proven track record of at least 3 years executing transactions with clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in English.
- Based in New York or São Paulo.
Responsibilities
- Manage risk and provide liquidity for the Offshore Credit Book.
- Act as a market maker for Brazilian corporate and sovereign bonds in offshore markets.
- Generate actionable trade ideas for Private Banking, Retail clients, and the COE book.
- Strengthen and develop institutional client relationships in collaboration with the Sales team.
- Partner with the IT team to design and implement a state‑of‑the-art bond‑trading system.
- Establish internal governance, processes, and controls to support bond‑trading activities.
