Candidates must be capable of performing repairs on boilers and pressure vessels according to ASME Code of Construction and NBIC procedures. Responsibilities include performing hydrostatic pressure testing, opening and inspecting boilers, and identifying potential problems with boilers and pressure vessels. The position requires knowledge in water treatment and troubleshooting of valves and safety devices. Candidates must also be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and perform pipe fitting to ASME, state, and local codes. Attention to detail in completing work orders and strong reasoning and problem-solving skills are essential.
