Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in welding/cutting.
• Completion of academic and practical competencies required, including passing a written assessment based on skills/abilities and safety knowledge.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, procedures, and safety standards.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma or GED
• Journeyman level structural iron working
• Plant or mine structural experience
• Proficiency in SMAW & FCAW weld processes and air arc
• Proficiency with blueprint reading
• Proficiency in layout process
• Ability to perform work with little to no direction from supervisor
• Proficiency in repair or replace structural work and shoring process.

Responsibilities

• Perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats using complex welding processes.
• Perform routine maintenance activities.
• Develop solutions for various maintenance situations.
• Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation.
• Train and mentor maintenance employees.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
