About The Position

The position involves performing duties related to the assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks, and vats. This includes executing a variety of complex welding processes such as electric resistance, oxy acetylene, or arc torches. The role also requires performing routine maintenance activities, developing solutions for various maintenance situations, completing work orders and other maintenance documentation, and training and mentoring maintenance employees. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker or a combination of education and experience.
• Proficiency in welding/cutting.
• Completion of academic and practical competencies required, including Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP exists.
• Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge and skills while passing a written assessment based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge, as well as safety.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English.
• Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards.
