About The Position

The Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (Boilermaker/Pipefitter) at the Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex is primarily responsible for the maintenance of fixed equipment in the refinery. This includes blinding, mechanical repair, replacement, fabrication, alteration, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of assets such as piping systems, valves, heat exchangers, filters, boilers, furnaces, towers, reactors, pressure vessels, tanks, and structural systems. The role involves using various hand and power tools, specialty tools, rigging equipment, mobile equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE). The position operates on a 4/10 work schedule. Most work is performed outdoors in an industrial environment, requiring the employee to safely and responsibly perform tasks under normal supervision. The Rodeo Renewable Energy Complex is a state-of-the-art facility processing renewable feedstocks (waste oils, fats, greases, and vegetable oils) to produce vital transportation fuels, including renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuels for California, Oregon, Washington, and British Columbia. The facility's conversion to renewable feedstocks, completed in early 2024, significantly reduces lifecycle carbon emissions.
