About The Position
Austin Industrial is seeking a skilled Boilermaker to join our team in La Porte, TX. As a leader in the industrial services sector for over 60 years, we provide maintenance, construction, and soft craft services to a variety of industries including oil, gas, chemical, food, agriculture, power, and manufacturing. Our employee-owners are dedicated to optimizing safety, productivity, and cost-efficiency for our clients. The Boilermaker will be responsible for constructing, assembling, maintaining, and repairing stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. This role requires a strong understanding of blueprints and the ability to work with various hand and power tools to ensure the integrity and functionality of boiler systems. The Boilermaker will engage in a variety of tasks including inspecting and repairing boiler fittings, testing assembled vessels, and cleaning boiler equipment. The position demands a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as the Boilermaker will need to locate defects in pressure vessels and perform necessary repairs. This role is essential to maintaining the safety and efficiency of our operations, and the successful candidate will be a key player in our commitment to delivering high-quality service to our clients. In addition to technical skills, the Boilermaker will be expected to collaborate with other team members and communicate effectively to ensure that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently. The position is physically demanding and requires the ability to lift heavy materials, work in various positions, and maintain focus in a dynamic work environment.
