About The Position

This position requires
maintaining
and operating of Metrolina Greenhouses’ boiler systems, their components, and their associated equipment
which includes biomass boilers, natural gas boilers, ESPs, wood and ash conveyor systems, large
front-end
loaders, and skid steers. It also involves performing regular inspections, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. This role will
be required
to work
12-hour
shifts in a rotation that
adjust
per season.

Requirements

• Computer Skills is REQUIRED
• Attention to detail
• Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces
• Mechanically inclined
• Ability to work unsupervised and independently
• Adherence to safety protocols
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
• Familiarity with large grading and loading equipment
• Willingness to learn and perform general maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, and hydronic systems associated with the Boiler system

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with Boiler maintenance and operations
• Welding Experience
• Electrical Experience

Responsibilities

• Capable of working independently without constant supervision
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
• Flexible working hours and overtime is needed as the system requires maintenance and operation outside of regular working hours
• Experience with front-end loaders and skid steers is necessary
• Trouble shoot issues and repair or replace components ensuring overall functioning within the system
• Other duties as assigned by management
