About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Boiler Room Technician to ensure the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of boiler systems and related mechanical equipment in a commercial or industrial facility. This role is essential for maintaining optimal heating and steam generation to support facility operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background, problem-solving skills, and knowledge of safety regulations. $42 - $42 an hour This Position is located in Decatur, Ga Frontline Pay Transparency/Benefits: Pay: $42 hour The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience working with boilers, steam systems, and HVAC equipment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing boiler components and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Technical or trade school certification in boiler operations or related field.
  • State or city boiler operator’s license.
  • Experience with high-pressure steam systems and water treatment.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency practices for boiler systems.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, monitor, and maintain boilers, HVAC systems, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on boilers and auxiliary systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair boiler malfunctions, including pumps, valves, burners, and controls.
  • Monitor system performance, pressure levels, and temperature controls to ensure efficiency.
  • Conduct water treatment and chemical testing to maintain boiler water quality.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations regarding boiler operations.
  • Collaborate with facility management and maintenance personnel to support overall building operations.
  • Follow all safety protocols and standard operating procedures to minimize risks.
