About The Position

Wilsonart Engineered Surfaces currently has an opening for a Boiler Operator. This individual will oversee proper and efficient operations of the boiler, air compressors, chillers, water systems, etc. at our industrial manufacturing plant.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 years of mechanical maintenance or boiler room experience preferred.
• Job will involve tasks that require pushing/pulling, lifting, and handling materials of 50 pounds
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts (3 on, 2 off schedule)

Responsibilities

• Prepare the boiler room for plant opera tions and shut downs.
• Monitor the boiler pressure, water levels, and temperature of all machinery within the boiler area.
• Respond to all system alarms.
• Maintain the log and records on all gauge readings.
• Shut the system down for maintenance work, then bring it back on line.
• Monitor and control all boiler house functions (boilers, air compressors, chillers and dust collectors, etc.).
• Monitor and control Hydrotherm water storage and cooling towers.
