About The Position

Responsible for the continuous monitoring, operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of theboiler.

Requirements

  • Understand basic operations of the steam boiler.
  • Trained in cell cleaning.
  • General knowledge of Federal, State, and Company rules, procedures and policies regarding safe operation of steam boiler.
  • Reading, speech, and basic computer skills required to communicate comprehension of Job Hazard Analysis, machine specific lockout procedures, monthly safety training, boiler readouts, gauges, valves, etc.
  • Ability to complete employee performance evaluation process, including giving and receiving feedback.
  • Must successfully complete required training for rolling stock and equipment used.
  • Successful completion of firewatch/fire suppression training.
  • Use vision/hearing continuously.
  • Must be self-directed in identifying and efficiently completing each task.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor computer readout
  • Monitor boiler equipment/gauges/valves
  • Mix boiler chemicals
  • Clean boiler cells by using proper cell procedures
  • Maintain fuel pile
  • Operate front-end loader/bobcat
  • Operate cranes/hoists/lifting slings
  • Comply with Federal, State, and Company rules, policies and procedures
  • Fire Watch
  • Other duties as assigned
  • The worker may be required to rotate to different positions for cross training purposes or to facilitate production. Job duties for other positions are outlined in their individual job descriptions.
  • Assist Co-Workers or maintenance personnel in basic maintenance and upkeep of machine.
  • Cleanup as needed.
