HireNow Staffing is searching for a skilled Boiler Operator to join a long-established facility in Syracuse, NY , where reliability, safety, and system knowledge are key. This isn't just a button-pushing job we're looking for someone who understands how power systems function from the inside out and is ready to take ownership of a wide range of plant equipment. This is a vital position for a candidate who thrives in high-pressure environments, has sharp troubleshooting skills, and enjoys working on essential industrial systems like steam boilers, compressed air systems, motors, and power-generating equipment .

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience working with industrial steam boilers and powerhouse systems
• Familiarity with electrical equipment , pressurized gas systems, and rotating machinery
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
• U.S. work authorization without the need for employer sponsorship

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years working in a powerhouse or industrial manufacturing environment
• Background in preventive maintenance and emergency troubleshooting
• Strong mechanical aptitude and independent problem-solving skills
• Experience maintaining uptime in production-critical environments

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor high-pressure steam boilers , ensuring efficient and continuous operation
• Maintain and troubleshoot pressurized piping systems (water, steam, oil, compressed air, and natural gas)
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment such as pumps, motors, air compressors, and electrical controls
• Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and blueprints to identify issues and support repairs
• Conduct inspections and document equipment performance to stay ahead of safety or operational issues
• Respond promptly to system alarms and troubleshoot malfunctions in real time
• Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to support continuous plant operations
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations this role plays a direct part in protecting facility uptime and team wellbeing
