Ameresco is hiring 3 Boiler Operators for the day shift to support a high-pressure steam plant at the Naval Research Laboratory. Operators will work 12-hour shifts to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• 1st Class High-Pressure Steam Operator License.
• Minimum 2 years mechanical/electrical experience.
• Ability to review confidential US security information.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with high-pressure boiler operation.
• Familiarity with rotating shift schedules.
• Basic computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boilers, pumps, and associated equipment.
• Perform routine plant rounds and report abnormalities.
• Maintain compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Complete shift logs and daily reports accurately.
• Assist with plant start-up/shutdown following SOPs.
• Respond to trouble calls and escalate as needed.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to safety policies.
• Perform other duties as required.
