About The Position

This UAW-represented position is responsible for the operation of high-pressure boilers and related powerhouse equipment under the supervision of a licensed steam engineer or powerhouse equipment under the supervision of a licensed steam engineer or Powerhouse Supervisor (Team Advisor). Job duties include, but are not limited to the following: Read dials, gauges, and meters, such as feed-water meter, and make appropriate adjustments to maintain proper powerhouse operation. Responsible for the operation of boiler feed pumps, hot wall pumps, service pumps, etc. Perform minor repairs to equipment in the employee's charge and advise engineer of other repairs which may be necessary.

Requirements

Must be a Journeyman with a 4-Year State-approved apprenticeship or 8 years of documented experience in the Trade
Must have and be able to maintain a State of Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Steam Engineer's license; or, have a current State of Ohio High Pressure Boiler Operators license and successfully obtain a State of Ohio 3rd Class Stationary Steam Engineer license and maintain said license.
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years of age.
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR.
Must be able to obtain/maintain unescorted facility access via the vetting process as administered by the Department of Army Police.
Must be willing and able to work any and all shifts as required.
Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
