About The Position

The Boiler Operator position at Good Samaritan Hospital involves operating, monitoring, and repairing gas/oil fired boilers and related equipment. The role requires the use of various computer systems and programs to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of the hospital's facilities. The operator will also be responsible for preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation, while maintaining the physical appearance of the equipment and plant.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3rd class Ohio State Stationary License.
• 3-4 years of experience in a related field.
• Mechanical knowledge and computer skills.
• Experience in boiler firing and repair.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and repair three gas/oil fired boilers and related equipment.
• Operate and monitor three hospital computer systems including Pevco pneumatic tube system, Honeywell Building Automation System, and Metasys building automation system.
• Use Maximo work order program and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access).
• Answer phones, record information for Engineering and Maintenance, and dispatch E & M technicians.
• Perform assigned preventative maintenance and repairs with proper documentation.
• Prepare boilers and other vessels for annual inspections.
• Maintain the physical appearance of assigned equipment and plant.
• Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
