About The Position
The Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional to work as a Boiler Compliance Safety Officer in the Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety. This position is located in the agency's Headquarters Office, Richmond VA. The Division of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety protects human life, property, and infrastructure by seeking compliance with the Virginia Boiler and Pressure Vessel Safety Act and regulations regarding the installation, certification, safe operation, maintenance, and repairs of industrial boilers and pressure vessels. The Boiler Compliance Safety Officer is responsible for conducting quality assurance and auditing of inspection reports, providing compliance assistance to the regulated community, performing selective inspection of boilers and pressure vessels, and investigating and initiating the enforcement of violations as warranted.
