About The Position

The position involves operating, maintaining, repairing, and diagnosing high-pressure steam boilers and critical mechanical/plumbing systems and equipment related to building infrastructure. The role requires completing preventive maintenance according to established policies and procedures, adhering to the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) timeline to ensure regulatory compliance. The individual must demonstrate effective communication, assertiveness, and versatility in responding to customer needs, while also being able to plan, organize, and prioritize work tasks. Collaboration with others may be necessary for planning and scheduling modifications and repairs to systems, ensuring minimal disruption to the organization's mission while adhering to fiscal constraints. The candidate should be alert to all aspects of equipment when responding to customer requests and must communicate any concerns to the appropriate personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as strong human relations skills for interaction with staff, visitors, and patients, are essential. The individual will also serve as a resource and mentor to others.

Requirements

  • One to three years of electrical and/or plumbing maintenance experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minnesota Boiler License-Class 2B required within 18 months.

Responsibilities
