Every product that leaves our factory has been designed, engineered, and produced for exclusive use in North America. U.S. Boiler Company is a subsidiary of Burnham Holdings, Inc. We are looking for a 3rd shift Boiler Assembler to join our team! This is a full-time, union-hourly position located in Lancaster, PA. Hours are 3rd Shift Sunday, 9:30 PM - 5 AM; Monday-Thursday, 6:30 PM - 5 AM; two Saturdays per month, 6:30 PM - 12:30 AM. Training pay is $21.44 per hour. After training, employees will earn incentive pay rate based on performance. This position will work on a team to assemble residential boilers. The ideal candidate will be mechanically inclined and have experience working with hand and power tools.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience with hand and power tools

Responsibilities

• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
• Use a variety of hand and power tools following appropriate methods and procedures to complete mechanical assembly of components or products, and prepare products and other items for shipment
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
• Verifies specifications by measuring and testing completed components
• Maintains inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; and contacting appropriate personnel to supply inventories
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms as needed
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Line side material handling as required
• Utilize lifting hoists or manipulators as required
• Prepare for shipping finished product by palletizing, crating and loading as required
• Utilize computers, scanners and printers as required
• Report problems with quality, processes, equipment and materials to Production Supervisor
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management
• Must be willing to learn and practice continuous improvement techniques such as 5S, one piece flow, value stream mapping, set-up reduction, and more
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Cross train to other positions as needed
• Provide hands-on job function training to coworkers as needed
• Performs related work as directed commensurate with this or lesser rated labor grade
