About The Position

The Boiler and Hot Water Heating Technician at Best Tec is responsible for performing start-up services, troubleshooting, and repair activities on natural gas boilers and water heating equipment at customer sites. This role requires a strong focus on customer service and technical expertise, as technicians will maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and install various heating systems in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience working as a service technician in a related industry.
• Electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience required.
• Experience working on commercial/industrial boiler systems.
• Ability to read and understand prints, drawings, and technical bulletins.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with natural gas boilers such as Raypak, Lochinvar & Laars.
• Customer service experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead all on-site installation, preventative and corrective maintenance, repairs, and testing tasks.
• Use test equipment and mechanical abilities to fire boilers and ensure proper operation during installation and repair.
• Diagnose errors and technical problems to determine proper solutions and make recommendations to customers.
• Complete documentation such as field service reports, start-up reports, and warranty forms.
• Ensure truck inventory is aligned with the recommended parts list.
• Promote upgrades in addition to parts sales and new heater sales.
• Perform basic electrical and mechanical repairs on boilers and auxiliary equipment.
• Develop and maintain good customer relationships and represent Best Tec professionally.
