About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking a highly engaged, motivated, and community-centered individuals for part-time BODYPUMP Instructors in Mission Viejo. This role is an opportunity to inspire and empower members by delivering engaging, safe, and effective group exercise classes. This position will look to foster genuine connections, practice exceptional hospitality, and create a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The BODYPUMP Instructor will help to promote healthy lifestyles and reflects our commitment to community well-being. Location: Mission Viejo Work Schedule: Part-Time Purpose and Impact: Inspire Healthy Lifestyles: Motivate participants to achieve wellness goals and model positive habits. Ensure Program Excellence: Deliver engaging, safe, and high-quality classes aligned with organizational standards. Maintain Safety and Standards: Uphold safety regulations and ensure proper care of equipment and facilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum Age: 21+ years old.
  • 2 years of experience in group exercise teaching required.
  • Related background in health and/or fitness.
  • BODYPUMP certification required.
  • First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: Two- or four-year degree in health, exercise science, recreation, or physical activity-related field.
  • Coursework in human anatomy, exercise physiology, and kinesiology preferred.
  • Other group exercise certifications welcomed.
