About The Position

Smooths surface imperfections and prepares marine tower products for painting by performing the duties listed below. Essential Job Functions and Duties Applies rough body filler to fill cavities and dents Uses sanding equipment to smooth any surface imperfections Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated Works under direct supervision on duties and tasks that are standardized, selecting from written instructions, and established procedures. Maintains tools and keeps equipment clean and in proper working order. Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer. Complies with all laws and regulations pertaining to paint, thinners, and other hazardous materials. Reports any deviations to management. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect paint department operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA, etc. Other duties may be assigned. Attention to detail Required Education and Experience 1-3 Years body experience in manufacturing with automotive or marine industry preferred Work Schedule / Additional Eligibility Requirements This position schedule is 6AM - 3:30 PM Monday - Friday Additional overtime required depending on manufacturing needs Post Offer Background check and drug screening may be required Physical Requirements Must be able to stand on concrete for the duration of the shift. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop. Must be able to grip and operate hand tools with a minimum of 50 in/lbs. of force Must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. for at least 15 feet. Safety Glasses must be worn at all times when in certain production areas. Enclosed non-skid shoes must be worn at all times when in the production areas.
