Body Technician - Heavy-Duty
About The Position
Heavy-Duty Body Technician Wanted We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team, specializing in semi-truck light body repair and body prep. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large-scale commercial vehicles and a high standard for structural integrity and finish quality. Core Skills & Requirements The ideal candidate should be an expert in the following: Advanced Surface Prep: Mastery of block sanding, feather-edging, and final sanding stages on large-scale panels. Fiberglass Repair: Specialized skill in repairing cracks, holes, and structural damage on truck hoods and fairings. Panel Alignment: Removing, installing, and aligning heavy-duty doors, cab panels, and trim components. Body Fill & Contour: Expert application of body fillers and glazes to restore original contours on steel and aluminum cabs. Masking & Protection: Precise masking of glass, lights, and chrome to ensure clean lines and zero overspray. Ensure all surfaces are chemically cleaned and prepped for primer application. Tool Operation: Expertise with, grinders and orbital sanders.

Responsibilities
- Sanding, Prepping, Masking and Light Body Work.
- Disassemble and reassemble exterior components, including mirrors, lights, and trim.
- Ensure all repairs meet Company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure shop efficiency and safety.
- The ability to show up for work and be on time every day.
- Maintain a high-speed workflow to keep the shop's production line moving.
