About The Position
Budget Truck and Auto is an established auto body shop located in Janesville, WI, specializing in both light duty (passenger vehicles) and heavy duty (semi-trucks, motor coaches, RVs) collision repair, custom painting, and vinyl graphics. We are currently seeking an experienced Body Technician to join our team, with a primary focus on heavy duty vehicles. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, along with the ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. The role requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks and projects effectively while maintaining punctuality and attendance. Candidates must also have the necessary tools to perform their tasks efficiently. As a Body Technician, you will be responsible for performing work as outlined on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy, adhering to OEM standards. This includes conducting body repair work on vehicles, such as fiberglass repair, and utilizing hand and power tools to remove or repair damaged parts, weld as necessary, and properly install new components. You will work with a variety of materials, including metals, plastics, glass, electrical, and mechanical parts. Additionally, participation in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events is encouraged to enhance your skills and knowledge in the field.
