About The Position

Great Lakes Collision Center is currently looking to hire several Automotive Body Shop Technicians for both Automotive and Commercial Vehicles! IF YOU WORK AT AN INDEPENDENT BODY SHOP OR COLLISION CENTER, WE WANT YOU! Hiring bonus will be offered based on experience!! Applicants MUST HAVE A TECHNICAL DEGREE OR PREVIOUS AUTOMOTIVE BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE! We offer an extremely generous compensation package including performance incentives.

Requirements

Applicants MUST HAVE A TECHNICAL DEGREE OR PREVIOUS AUTOMOTIVE BODY SHOP TECHNICIAN EXPERIENCE!
A valid driver’s license is required.

Nice To Haves

Painting experience a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

Attention to detail, fix it right the first time.
Keep and update all training and certifications
Understand and follow all state and federal regulations, such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes.
Repairs damaged body parts and bodies of vehicles in accordance with factory and dealership specifications and time standards.
Repairs vehicles per estimate and according to manufacturer standards.
Checks parts against estimate and ensures proper parts are ordered and received.
Prepares vehicles for body repair work.
Notifies management of any additional repairs needed.
Notifies management of any difficulties or problems that may prevent a quality job from being performed or cause a change in the promised time.
Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
Maintains and wears all required safety and health personal protective equipment, including respirator, in the manner recommended by the equipment manufacturer.
