About The Position
We are seeking a motivated Body Shop Technician Apprentice to join our collision repair team. This is an entry-level position designed to train and develop skills in auto body repair, refinishing, welding, panel replacement, and alignment under the supervision of experienced technicians.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to stand, lift, bend, and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable using basic hand and power tools
- Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
Responsibilities
- Assist experienced body shop technicians with auto body repair tasks
- Sand, grind, and prep vehicle surfaces for repair and paint
- Remove and install damaged panels and parts
- Clean and organize tools, workstations, and shop areas
- Learn and follow established safety procedures
- Mix and prepare paints and materials (training provided)
- Assist with pulling dents and frame alignment
- Maintain proper documentation of work performed
- Participate in ongoing training and skill development
