Perform welding, soldering. body/frame alignment and oxidizing operations using recommended procedures. Note additional needed work and obtain approval before proceeding. Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts. Performance of vehicle repair work as assigned. Adherence to correct repair procedures in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Maintain shop area to housekeeping standards. Use and store equipment/tools properly. Alignments, Suspension work, Engine and Transmission work and Mechanical Diagnostic. Update technical capabilities as required. Road test vehicles when required. Attend factory sponsored training classes and keep abreast of factory technical bulletins. Repair within time indicated by Body Shop Estimator. Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur. Maintain and secure work tools. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. Maintain an organized, clean and hazard free work environment. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of body shop repair experience to succeed in this position.
  • A high level of motivation and energy and strong customer service skills are also required.
  • Appropriate hand tools necessary for services performed.
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, A/C recovery equipment, fluid exchange equipment, lift operation, etc.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Pre-employment drug test/physical/ background check will help assure we build teams of people who can best work with others and serve customer needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) and A/C Refrigerant handling certifications are a plus, but not required unless performing A/C or other license required services.
