About The Position

A high volume, family owned Ford dealership body shop in the western Fort Lauderdale area is seeking an experienced Body Shop Mechanic to join its team. The shop operates two buildings, runs approximately 265 to 275 vehicles per month, and generates over one million dollars in monthly collision revenue. The operation is heavily DRP focused, with roughly 95 percent of work coming through direct repair programs across multiple major carriers. Although it is a Ford store, the body shop services a wide range of makes and models and maintains several OEM certifications. You will be joining an established team of about 40 people, led by a long tenured body shop manager who also oversees parts and service. The Body Shop Mechanic is responsible for all mechanical and related R&I work on vehicles that come through the collision center. This is not a general service lane technician role. It is dedicated to supporting collision repairs and ensuring that vehicles are returned to safe, reliable, manufacturer compliant condition. The ideal candidate is an experienced mechanic who can work independently, produce clean work, and minimize comebacks. This is not an entry level opportunity.
