Body Shop Helper
About The Position

As a Body Shop Helper at Koons Falls Church Ford collision center, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on our business and in the lives of our team members and customers every day. We are looking for an energetic, customer-focused Body Shop Helper who will help us redefine the car-buying experience. The Body Shop Helper is responsible for assisting the technicians in repairing and restoring all assigned vehicles to pre accident condition.
Requirements
- ASE certification in body repairs
- Must be at least eighteen years of age
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screens (background & drug test)
Nice To Haves
- Auto Body Vo-Tech certification or military equivalent experience preferred
- Demonstrate commitment to continued learning by ongoing participation in I-CAR
- I-CAR Welding certificate a plus
Responsibilities
- Assist in approaching the repair planning with a sense of urgency and detail to avoid waste and rework later in the process
- Assist in de-trims and disassembles vehicles, putting parts on parts carts
- Assist in pre-pulls to make repair vs. replace decisions
- Assist in identifying and sourcing parts as necessary
- Assist in performing quality repairs without passing on defects
- Consistently utilize all required safety equipment and follows proper repair procedures
- Adhere to all requirements for hazardous waste disposal
- Keep personal work area organized and returns tools, materials and equipment to designated areas
