About The Position

The Body Shop Helper/Apprentice at Baker Collision (Coopersville) will assist the collision team in completing various tasks related to repairing damaged vehicles. This is a full-time, hourly position with opportunities for growth and advancement within the industry. As a part of Baker Collision you will play an important role in supporting the team to meet customer satisfaction and quality standards. Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time hourly position paid biweekly. Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a body shop or automotive repair setting is preferred
• Knowledge of basic automotive repair and maintenance
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
• Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in a body shop or automotive repair setting is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pre and post repair clean up/detailing of customer vehicles
• Prepare vehicles for refinishing by sanding, masking, and priming
• Remove damaged parts and tear down for repair planning
• Clean and maintain work area and tools
• Perform pre and post repair scans when necessary
• Remove trash recycling materials from shop daily
• Help with general maintenance and upkeep of the body shop
