About The Position

The Body Shop Estimator at Mercedes-Benz Manhattan is responsible for creating detailed damage estimates for collision repairs, managing relationships with insurance companies, and ensuring accurate billing processes. This role emphasizes delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining a professional brand image through effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

• High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent work experience.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Collision Center Adjuster.
• At least 3 years of experience using estimating software (CCC preferred).
• ASE/I-CAR Certification preferred.
• Ability to work Saturdays and holidays when required.
• Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal).
• Positive attitude and excellent work ethic.
• Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

• ASE/I-CAR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers & adjustors promptly and provide fair estimates for collision repairs.
• Update insurance companies, adjustors, and customers regarding repair status.
• Review and update insurance claims, uploading necessary documentation to insurance companies.
• Write supplements and negotiate with insurance companies for additional hours and parts needed for repairs.
• Take custody of vehicles from tow operators and secure necessary information.
• Take photos of vehicles and upload them into required software.
• Assist customers with drop-off and pick-up at the North Bergen location.
• Secure payment from customers picking up vehicles.
