About The Position

Ourisman Automotive Group is a leading collision repair facility dedicated to high quality repairs and excellent customer service. We are seeking a skilled Body Shop Detailer who will be responsible for ensuring every repaired vehicle is returned to customers in spotless, showroom-ready condition. This role is responsible for completing full interior and exterior detailing after collision repairs, supporting quality control, and maintaining an organized and safe body shop environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional work that reflects Ourisman's high standards of craftsmanship and customer care..

Requirements

  • Prior auto detailing or reconditioning experience preferred; training available for the right candidate.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple vehicles in different stages of completion.
  • Familiarity with detailing tools, buffers, extractors, vacuums, polishers, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods, bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs, and work indoors and outdoors.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full vehicle detailing once repairs are complete, including washing, polishing, buffing, waxing, and interior deep cleaning.
  • Clean and restore vehicle surfaces, removing dust, overspray, compounds, and repair residue.
  • Vacuum, shampoo, and sanitize vehicle interiors, including carpets, upholstery, dashboards, consoles, glass, and trim.
  • Conduct final inspections on repaired vehicles to ensure a flawless presentation before delivery to customers.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment, including removal of sheet metal, replaced parts, and repair materials.
  • Support body shop workflow by staging vehicles, moving vehicles in and out of bays, and assisting technicians when needed.
  • Follow all safety protocols related to chemicals, equipment, and shop procedures.
  • Report any defects, missed repairs, or concerns to the Body Shop Manager prior to vehicle delivery.
  • Ensure all detailing supplies, chemicals, and equipment are properly maintained, stocked, and stored.
