The Ford Racing Body Interior Team is seeking an independent, empowered and passionate Body Interior PMT Engineer to support engineering delivery of upcoming, cutting-edge on and off-road vehicle programs. Ford Racing Body Interior Engineering PMT lead to support upcoming performance on and off road programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering
  • 2+ Years of experience in Body Design & Release, including delivery of 1 completed program
  • Experience in a PMT/SET lead or engineer role preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • 2 Years of experience utilizing CAD and/or other visualization tools
  • Understanding of program delivery processes / GPDS
  • Working knowledge of Teamcenter, Vis Mockup, CATIA, DFMEA, FEDE, FEDEBOM, WERS, 3DX
  • Fabrication/mockup skills to demonstrate proof of concept
  • Independent self-starter that can connect analytical tools with physical hardware and vehicle performance
  • Passion for performance vehicles

Nice To Haves

  • MSME/MBA preferred
  • Launch experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage delivery of GPDS milestone deliverables across all Interior commodities.
  • Lead the design, release, and delivery of Body Interior components and systems for Ford Racing Road Car Programs.
  • Facilitate effective change management throughout design, development, and launch for Interior commodities.
  • Manage Quality, Cost, Weight, Function and Timing (QCWFT) to support program & engineering GPDS milestones.
  • Work with Purchasing to source commodities.
  • Lead FS (Full Service) and BTP (Build to Print) suppliers and/or other internal/external resources to deliver subject programs.
  • Assure conformance to the Ford Performance DNA and all applicable Ford & regulatory requirements.
  • Support issue resolution and design change management during the prototype build and launch phases.
  • Interface and maintain collaborative relationship with Core Body Engineering Organization.
  • Support PMT lead and program team with overall program function.
