Our claims department has an immediate opening for someone who can demonstrate these WCF Insurance values to join their team as a Liability/Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster. This is a full-time, exempt position available to qualified candidates in Sandy, Utah. This posting is open to internal and external candidates.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry designations
  • At least two years of commercial liability claims adjusting experience
  • Understanding of the Unfair Claims Practices Act, policy contracts, and other insurance principles
  • Familiarity with claims management systems and claims estimating software systems
  • Sound literacy in the medical, automotive, and liability terminology and concepts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organization, time-management, and decision-making skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and Windows operating system
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to hire at the Senior Adjuster or the Adjuster level
  • An internal candidate should have six months in their current position, acceptable job performance, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position.

Responsibilities

  • The Liability/Bodily Injury Claims Adjuster manages a commercial auto liability claim caseload of moderate to high complexity and exposure, from first assignment to conclusion of the claim process.
  • This includes appropriate investigation, analysis, and explanation of coverage applicable to the claim's elements.
  • The person in this position communicates claims decisions and key developments to policyholders, claimants, and attorneys.
