About The Position

A Die Cut Machine Operator sets up, operates, and maintains machinery to cut, shape, or stamp materials (paper, board, plastic) according to specifications. Key responsibilities include installing dies, adjusting machine settings (speed, pressure), inspecting finished products for quality, and troubleshooting, often in a fast-paced production setting.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a press department or with industrial machinery is usually required
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read job orders and blue prints
• Ability to stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift materials, often in a noisy environment
• High focus on accuracy to maintain quality standards
• Ability to work with others to manage, set up, and troubleshoot machines

Responsibilities

• Installing dies
• Setting guides, feeders, and pressure points
• Operating machinery to meet production schedules
• Inspecting finished parts for accuracy
• Ensuring clean cuts
• Removing defects
• Performing daily, weekly, or monthly maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and repairing dies
• Recording production data, such as quantities produced, material usage, and time spent, accurately
• Adhering to all safety protocols
• Wearing protective gear
• Maintaining a clean work area
